Hi, my name is Matt and I teach guitar. I did my master's degree in songwriting at NYU, my Bachelor's in guitar at Belmont, and have been teaching for over 10 years. I'm a member of the band Hear Hear and have written, performed, and recorded music with Dan Nigro, Wicked the Musical on Broadway, Steuart Smith (The Eagles), Dave Hartley (The War on Drugs), Jeremy Pope, and The Delta Saints, among many others.
Lessons have an emphasis on songwriting, production, and overall musicality in addition to guitar techniques. I have taught students from beginner to professional musicians, of all ages, from a variety of cultural backgrounds, and with a special attention to neurodivergent needs.
Guitar lessons take place at one of my two fully equipped music production studios off the Jefferson stop. Weekly recurring lessons are $60 and one-time lessons are $80.
